So much for that...

So I had set a goal of blogging once a week...so much for that!! I am more at once every 2 months, UGH!! Between work, sewing, traveling, making a modest effort to keep the house in check, and worst of all TAXES I am failing miserably as a blogger. What to do??? Well I will try to get back on it and as Nike says "Just Do It"!!

We have hit another goal lately...I was hoping to get over 300 Facebook fans by June and we officially hit 321 by March so that was wonderful. We also are hoping to hit 3000 sales by June 2010 and we are at 2261 on April 1st so we will need a strong push in the next two months & hope the wedding and Spring/Summer sales will be another great season for us.

I am back again...WOW twice in one week! This time we have terribly exciting news!! Pink Gasoline was featured in another magazine!! Yes, I said it "another"... 2009 it was a highlight in http://www.parents.com/ about favorite Etsy gifts for infants (check it out) and 2010 one of our most popular items, coffee cozy, was featured in Bird Talk Magazine! Can't quite make the connection? Well check out the coffee cozy featured and it will all make sense. We are so proud and most of all grateful for all our wonderful customers, family, fans, and followers.

Well shoot it has been a LONG time since I had a chance to blog. I have to give credit to all the bloggers out there who post every day or at least weekly! Phew it is all I can do between working a full-time job, sewing, housework, and trying to have what I think resembles a "life"...so "Hats off to you Bloggers!"

That being said I have decided I will blog once a week! Whatever the topic - sewing of course since that is passion but other things that peak my interest! Today...LOST!! I am so excited that on the 2nd of February the first of the last starts! For those of you new to Lost it is the first episode of the last season and boy howdy they are trying to close it out before they jump the shark. Some may say they already jumped the shark but I would disagree - they started off ridiculous premise and will end as such!! So enjoy...I know I will!!

This has been a tremendous week for Pink Gasoline...we have been blessed with invitations to so many events that we are actually having to turn a few down!! We never thought that would happen. We had a great time at the Baxter Fall Festival last weekend and at a recent Trunk Show at a pre-Christmas Shopping home party. We also just broke 1000 sales in our shop at www.PinkGasoline.etsy.com

The biggest news of the week though was being featured in Parents.com under "Our Favorite Etsy Gifts for Baby" - that took the cake!! The item featured was our Developmental Visual Stimulation Ball Set - 3 different sized fabric balls with a variety of fabrics and a jingle ball inside. Happy Holloween!! You know what that means?? Christmas...that's right! Once Halloween is upon us the shopping season for the holidays is down to just a month and a half and if you are anything like me you begin to panic. This year I am going to resolve to make a list, organize, and shop from Etsy. I love that they have EVERYTHING - clothes, furniture, decor, kids toys, accessories, and more - and I love that we are part of it. Amazing place and all the money is kept within local communities - versus large corporations and stockholders - and it is very eco-friendly to boot.
